To Send a Private Message

To send someone a private message (PM), you should first click on
User Control Panel ( 0 New Messsages)

Then, click on NEW PM
Next to the blue dialogue box, it says " Find a Member " - click on that.

The pull down menu of Peggy's Membership appears. If you click on USERNAME in the header, they will be sorted in alphabetical order. Scroll down until you find the user that you're looking for.
Click SELECT.
Scroll to the bottom of the page and click on SELECT.

This will put that user's name in the message header. It's a long way of doing it, but it prevents spelling mistakes.

I have a little bit of a different theory on this, which has worked out quite well for me. What I'll do is click on the New PM tab. From there, I will type the person's user name in the To: box. From there, I'll click on the Add tab. Once I do that, the person's name gets locked in red, so I know that the person will get that PM.

I don't know if anyone else has discovered this; however, it's just something I discovered on my own which works well for me.
